Stephen J. Burrows, LCSW

I thoroughly enjoy working with clients of all ages. I have had the opportunity to not only work with adults, but also with children, adolescents, and their families. My main emphasis is on a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients. I find this to be the most important aspect of my practice, as well as the most fulfilling. I am also a huge advocate of finding the right therapist. I believe this makes a significant difference in therapeutic outcomes. I consider the therapeutic environment as best developed on an individual basis, with attention given to specific client driven goals and outcomes. Hence, I believe in the aspect of unconditional positive regard. I follow a strength based client-centered approach and enjoy therapeutic modalities including; EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Choice Theory. I also embrace a family systems approach and believe strongly in relationships and how those relationships interact with individual psychology. I am a strong proponent of family and couples therapy, and find it to be one of the most valuable and productive approaches to conflict resolution. I embrace an emotionally focused approach when engaging in family/couples work and emphasize communication and active listening skills. I am open to discussing any concerns and answering any questions I can via telephone or office visits.

Jayme P. Jares, LCSW, LAC

I enjoy working with a variety of individuals who feel motivated to understand themselves better and make changes that will positively impact their lives. I believe it is a powerful and healing process to show up to the emotional pain we experience by walking through it instead of away from it. It's a brave act of self love! I have worked in a number of settings including outpatient, residential and inpatient which has granted me the opportunity to understand the human condition from different angles. I have experience and enjoy working with a variety of populations including adolescents and adults. I am an EMDR-trained therapist and a CBT therapist.
